Grasspipe was formed in 1999 when Jonas and Keith agreed to form a band while hangin-out. Still having no drummer they decided to get Jonas' brother and former " Manila Bus " drummer, Monpi. They started out doing covers from Pearl Jam to Incubus, Deftones and Tool. Tired of doing covers, they concentrated in writing and playing their own songs. After writing a couple of songs, they went to Sound Creation studio to record a 6-track demo containing the first versions of " Red Lobby " and " Star " then they submitted a demo cd to Nu107...On late November of 2002 they were featured on IN THE RAW(a show on UnTv which features unsigned bands). After some time, they wanted to add another guitarist to make their sound heavier. Jonas' cousin Paolo, hooked them up with guitarist Lec-Lec.....And they giged happily ever after... PEACE OUT!!! AAAIGHT!?!?
